Sometimes impromptu travel can be easy and a great idea. Recently, one of my clients decided to have a “Girls Weekend” with her daughters, 5 and 8. The weather had been bad all week and they needed a change of pace and scenery. Deterred by the thought of crowded airports and cramped, steel cylinders of recirculating germs (a.k.a. airplanes), the “girls” decided on a neighborhood stay at the Ritz Carlton, Chicago (A Four Seasons Hotel).
This Hotel offers fun, complimentary activities for families such as cookie baking and visit from the Candyman. You can even have a tent, pitched in the room for indoor camping. If you need to burn off the sugar, there is a heated, indoor pool.
Virtuoso amenities: Breakfast for 2 daily, via room service or in the Hotel’s restaurant and a $100 dining credit, once per stay. My client enjoyed an upgrade from a lake view room to a deluxe executive suite.
Happy kids, happy Mom, happy memories!
