Want to visit the Grand Canyon with your family but you’re worried that your kids are still too young and might be bored? Recently, I planned a trip for a group that included a 5-year old and a 7-year old and they all had a blast! Customizing an itinerary to Arizona and the Grand Canyon is an ideal way for families with younger children to tour as best meets their requirements and schedules. My clients selected a train ride to the Canyon with a staged cowboy shoot-out and a picnic, a behind-the-scenes VIP tour of a Wild Animal Preserve, and a Pink Jeep off-road excursion into the backcountry of Sedona. They also opted for private tours of the Canyon with knowledgeable and friendly guides who were great with the kids. Other activities to consider for families are ATV Tours, helicopter canyon flights, horseback rides with cowboy cookouts, and kayaking on the Verde River.
Adventures by Disney offers small, private group tours to Arizona and Utah that include the Grand Canyon. The minimum age for this tour is 4-years. This is a fairly inclusive 8-day tour including accommodations, 7 breakfasts, 5 lunches and 5 dinners, activities, admissions and two highly trained Adventure Guides. All of the “Disney” touches and amenities are present throughout along with VIP access to sites so the group can bypass lines. Also, the kids receive special, collectible Disney pins daily that relate to the destination. As a Disney Specialist, I would be happy to help you to plan your next Disney vacation.
A great time to visit the Grand Canyon is early June. Plan early!
